Umphrey’s McGee
“All Night Wrong”
February 2, 2012
First Avenue
Minneapolis, MN
Following last night’s performance at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN, Umphrey’s McGee offered their first-ever all-cover late night set dubbed “All Night Wrong” at the nearby 7th Street Entry. While the set featured no new covers, the band did run through a number of classics which were voted on by fans. The night kicked off with a take on Rush’s “YYZ,” before diving into a dubbed out version of “Pink Floyd’s “Breathe” and Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song.” Later in the set, guitarist Jake Cinninger replaced Kris Myers on drums for a take a second Zeppelin tune, “Moby Dick.” The show closed out with a pair of Talking Heads covers, “Making Flippy Floppy” and the encore “Burning Down the House.” - jambands.com
